National Competition for the Best Thesis

Center for Design, Fashion and Advertising Law

The National Competition of the Center for Design, Fashion and Advertisement Law at the University of Silesia for the best thesis is an initiative aimed at selecting and rewarding the best theses dedicated to fashion, design, and advertisement law. The Competition provides a space for promoting young researchers and developing an interdisciplinary approach to creative industries.

Goal of the Competition:

The main goal of the Competition is to select and reward the best thesis on topics related to fashion, design, and advertisement law. Theses from the discipline of legal sciences thematically connected to fashion, design, and advertising may be submitted to the Competition, and in justified cases, works from other disciplines related to fashion and design topics may also be submitted.

The key evaluation criteria are primarily originality in topic selection and innovation in its approach, as well as the synthetic character of the work and high stylistic quality.

1st Edition (2023/2024)

the inaugural edition of the Competition, which established the tradition of rewarding the best theses in the field of fashion, design, and advertisement law.

2nd Edition (2024/2025)

the second edition of the Competition is supported by Pawełczyk Law Firm, which sponsors the 1st Prize. The edition partner is the Polish Academy of Fashion. The ceremonial award presentation takes place during the PAM Gala, where laureates receive the Crystal Themis statuettes of the Center for Design, Fashion and Advertisement Law, diplomas, and internship proposals at the Center.
